After failing to retain his seat at the recently held primaries, the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sagnarigu Constituency in the Northern Region, Hon. Alhassan Bashir Fuseini, is set to host Peace FM’s popular program “Wo Bu Bε ah, Me Nso Mete Bε.”
A.B.A Fuseini, popularly known for his eloquent use of proverbs in his speeches, is currently in the final negotiation stage with Despite Media Group – owners of Peace FM to become the new host of the program after his term in parliament comes to an end in January 2024.
According to Fadda Dickson, the Managing Director of Despite Media Group, management of the station, especially Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, believes that the former journalist is better suited to host the show and is certain that he has what it takes to make the program successful.
“The station has been struggling to keep the program going after the demise of its former host, Nana Agyei Sikapa. If there is one person who can execute this job effectively and efficiently, then it is Hon. A.B.A Fuseini. Losing the bid to contest in the 2024 elections was a blessing in disguise for us. I trust that he can deliver and take the program to new heights,” Fadda Dickson remarked.
He expressed management’s excitement about Hon. A.B.A. Fuseini joining Despite Media Group saying that they believe Hon. Fuseini’s wealth of proverbial wisdom and his ability to effortlessly weave proverbs into his speeches make him the perfect fit for the program.
While the MP’s transition from politics to radio hosting may come as a surprise to some, it appears to be a natural progression for the MP who is serving his last term in parliament.
When News Yard reached out to him for his comments, Hon. A.B.A. Fuseini said “When the dance is approaching, we do not hasten to greet its arrival.” He urged us to patiently wait for the official announcement from management of the station in the coming weeks because to him, “It is only a fool who jumps the gun and starts a race before hearing the gunshot.”
