A controversial Nigerian prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanere, popularky known as Odumeje, has made a bold claim that he is more than capable of resurrecting the Titan 5 who passed away in their quest to explore the remains of the Titanic, 12,500 ft. below sea level.
However, his proposal comes with a rather unusual condition; half of the combined net worth of the Titan 5 crew must be given to him before he performs the miracle. He said should the families of the Titan 5 refuse to offer him 50% of their wealth, he would also not exhibit his God-given talent to resurrect them.
According to the General Overseer of The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Odumeje, he wouldn’t settle for anything less than 50% of their combined wealth so the families should not dare think of negotiating the percentage with him.
He said: “This shouldn’t be difficult for the families to decide if they really love them. They are all smart businessmen and can make the money back in the next few months or years. I am not a businessman. I am a vessel that God is using to bring people back to life. I need to get paid for my service – reason why I am making such demand. Now, they have to either choose between saving the lives of their loved ones or money.”
The pastor who gained popularity for his unconventional approach to spiritual deliverance, in which he lifts and forcefully brings down his church members like WWE wrestlers, said the families of the Titan 5 have up to 5 days to accept or decline his proposal.
The timing of this proclamation coincides with the recent statement made by renowned filmmaker James Cameron, who drew similarities between the Titan 5 disaster and the iconic sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
While Cameron’s commentary aimed to shed light on the dangers of disregarding safety protocols, the pastor’s unexpected offer has diverted attention towards an unorthodox solution. His declaration to resurrect the Titan 5, drawing upon his religious beliefs, has both fascinated and puzzled experts and the public alike.
Some argue that such a request seems exploitative and insensitive in the wake of a tragedy that claimed precious lives. Skeptics question the legitimacy of his alleged powers and view the demand as a dubious attempt to acquire substantial wealth.
It remains to be seen how the Titan 5 crew members’ families and the authorities involved will respond to this offer.
